MEETING LOCATION

The Frederick Apple Core meets the second Saturday of each month from 10 AM to Noon at the Walkersville United Methodist Church. Users of Apple products (Macintosh, iPhone, iPod, iPad, etc.) are invited to attend. Club business, new developments, as well as user problems and solutions will be discussed. In addition to our general meetings, we have special events, including an annual “freecycle” event.

The Walkersville United Methodist Church is located at 22 Main St. in Walkersville, MD. For directions, CLICK HERE.

Our meetings are open to the public and we welcome anyone interested in attending.

Our focus at the meeting will be upgrading to the latest Mac OS Catalina 10.15. Some say wait, some say I have waited long enough. There are rewards and potential perils for those choosing to upgrade.

Here’s a detailed article on the new features of Catalina:

For those who think their Mac or MacBook is too old, a version of Catalina Patcher allows you to run this release on just about all Macs from 2008 and later. Check out this video (about 25 minutes) on YouTube for all you need to know for all unsupported systems:

There is always a Q&A section to the meeting where you can bring your questions.
